We are excited to invite you to a special edition of our highly-regarded «IEC 61508 in Lift Design» training, taking place December 3rd to 6th, 2024, at our Amsterdam office. This four-day course is a unique opportunity to deepen your expertise in Functional Safety, particularly for lift applications. By the end, you will be equipped with knowledge to independently manage PESS projects and can do the exam to become a «Liftinstituut Functional Safety Specialist.»
Course Details
– Dates: December 3-6, 2024
– Location: Liftinstituut Office, Amsterdam
– Start Times: 10:00 on Tuesday; 9:00 on other days
– Price: €2140,- per participant (includes all training materials, lunch, and refreshments)
– Certification: Participants scoring 75% or above on the final assessment will receive a Liftinstituut Training Certificate, validating their capability in Functional Safety for lift applications.
Program Highlights
Day 1 – Introduction to Functional Safety in Lift Applications
– Overview of IEC 61508 and Functional Safety principles
– Understanding failure theory and strategies for achieving safety compliance
Day 2 – Implementing SIL Requirements
– Lifecycle activities, safety requirements, and practical applications for lifts
Day 3 – Techniques for Effective Safety Design
– In-depth look at diagnostics, Failure Mode and Effect Analysis, and software design practices
Day 4 – Integrating PESS in Lift Design and Testing
– Mechanics, testing protocols, and certification assessment (Friday, 13:00 – 17:00)
After each day’s session, the trainer will be available to address any questions in depth.
